Like any relationship it is based on communication. There are all kinds of relationships all leading to different destinations, some good, some not so fun.
Foundational Principles
Marks philosophy is based on some foundational principles. These bedrock facts allow you to determine the best way to work with any horse, just as it is possible to figure out the best way to communicate with a person and the most beneficial ways are dictated by the skills, knowledge and experiences each side of the conversation has. After helping the owner understand what is important to your particular horse and how horses communicate with each other the relationship can begin to build.
Experience
When training your horse Mark uses his years of experience gained with knowledge from the best horsemen he could learn from. Mark teaches your horse the cues that will be used and the correct response to each one, these cues are important for they direct the feet and are the building blocks on which the rest of the horses movement and action will be built on.
Mark is a trainer and educator that enjoys helping people be the person their horse deserves and teaching horses how to be the best partner for their owner. He helps riders figure out how to best communicate with the horse and build the relationship they both enjoy.
